The Options VIII Scientific and Organising Committees consist of leading international experts in the influenza field dedicated to all aspects of influenza from basic science to healthcare policy and pandemic planning. Each has been carefully selected and strategically assigned to their respective committees to ensure the success of the meeting.
The Scientific Committee works with the Scientific Committee Chairs to ensure the individual sessions and workshops are attuned with the latest scientific information on Influenza. They also serve as reviewers of the scientific studies submitted for oral and poster presentation during the meeting, as well as the post conference manuscripts. Options has a history of strong virology content, and we expect that the 2013 meeting will continue this tradition while answering the call for the latest scientific information on other aspects of influenza.
The Organising Committee works with the Conference Chair to ensure that the meetings’ overall content is aligned with the overall conference goals and objectives. The Organising Committee provides overall insight into the program during the planning process to ensure that the Options for the Control of Influenza conference remains dedicated to all aspects of influenza from basic science to healthcare policy and pandemic planning.
With their expertise and historical involvement in the Options meetings, each committee member will ensure that Options VIII showcases the most recent advances in basic science and the control and prevention of influenza.
